Elsa Gary


Elsa and Dick founded VOTERISE in 2015 as a way to engage 18-29 year-olds in the electoral process and give them a voice in the future of our nation.

Elsa attended the International Christian University in Tokyo and graduated from Barnard College. She began her marketing career as a media buyer and supervisor at major New York advertising agencies. She transitioned from buying to selling as an Account Executive for ABC Television in New York and Los Angeles.

Dick attended Villanova University, majoring in Industrial administration. His entry into the media world was as a sales rep for a New York radio station. In his radio career, in New York and Los Angeles, he held General Sales Manager and Station General Manager positions.

Together, the Garys started a Los Angeles advertising agency, The Gary Group. Given their successful media backgrounds and skills in marketing to the youth audience, The Gary Group became the leading agency for the music industry, working on a significant percentage of new album releases in all genres, Pop. Rock, Country, Hip Hop, etc. They bring this knowledge and experience to VOTERISE.

In addition to their professional efforts, Elsa and Dick have also been actively and personally involved in philanthropic activities. They served as West Coast Co-Chairs and National Directors of the T.J. Martell Foundation, an organization founded in the music industry to raise funds for cancer. Leukemia, and AIDS research and events they created and executed raised millions of dollars. They have also served the Park City community as board members of The Park City Ski Team and The Park City Performing Arts Foundation. The Gary Group was also involved with numerous music-oriented pro bono projects including those for Amnesty International, the Special Olympics, and Rock the Vote.
